Sumsy privacy policy

Last updated 6 November 2026

The short version

Sumsy is a math puzzle game for children aged 5 to 9, made by Milan Chheda. It collects no personal information. It has no ads, no accounts, no analytics and no in-app purchases, and it cannot connect to the internet.

What Sumsy keeps on your device

To work, Sumsy saves a few things in its own storage on your device:

None of this leaves your device through Sumsy. The developer never receives it and cannot see it.

Device backup

If backup is turned on for your device, Android may include Sumsy's saved data in your device backup in your Google account, so progress can move to a new device. Google runs this backup, and you can turn it off in your device settings. The developer cannot read it.

Crash reports

If you have chosen to share usage and diagnostics data with Google on your device, Google Play may give the developer anonymous crash and performance reports. They hold technical details about the device and the crash, never anything entered in Sumsy.

Sharing

Sumsy shares no information with anyone. It contains no third-party code that collects data, such as ads or analytics.

Children

Sumsy is made for children. It asks children for no personal information, has no chat or social features and has no links out of the app. The grown-ups area, where you change your child's details, is behind a parental check.

Keeping and deleting data

Sumsy's data stays on your device until you delete it. Reset progress, in the grown-ups area, clears puzzles, hints, streak, badges and stats. Uninstalling Sumsy, or clearing its storage in your device settings, deletes everything. The developer keeps no copy, so there is nothing to delete on the developer's side.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at https://sumsy.milanchheda.com/privacy.html with a new date. If a future version of Sumsy ever needs to collect information, this policy will say so before that version is released.
